Woods Bowling 50th Anniversary Dinner

Almost one hundred people attended the anniversary dinner that was held in the Parish Hall on 26th September 2014.  A delicious meal was served with many past members and friends of the club in attendance.  A special cake baked by a parishioner was cut by bowling members Mrs Maisie Clarke and Mr Timothy Vance. Special guests included Mr & Mrs Leslie Reid, Canon Coulson and Mrs Coulson; and Canon Boyd and Mrs Boyd.  A programme of entertainment followed with Mr Ian Coulter acting as compere for the evening.  A short play entitled "Bowling Out At The Woods" was performed by two puppeteers!  The Bridge Singers also performed.   Old photographs were displayed. A good night was had by all with many old acquaintances being renewed.
