Picnic at Woods

After the joint morning service at Woods on Sunday 5 June a celebratory picnic was held in front of St John's to mark the Queen's Official Birthday; a very special occasion in that her Majesty has reached the age of 90 years old. The sun shone as parishioners enjoyed their picnics.  There was of course a birthday cake and a rendering of 'Happy Birthday' was sung.  Also in attendance were Mr & Mrs Magill who were visiting from California.  Mr Magill's great, great, great grandmother was a member of the Gaussen family ( the Gauseen family have long been associated with the Parish of Woodschapel).  Photographs of the event can be found in the Gallery section.
